I did it my way

Alright, man, its just too hard to keep two blogs going.
I feel bad about not posting over here but I'm trucking along on the other site, plus I'm not a big fan of the new version of Blogger.
So, I admit to the demise of Togbean's Place and I welcome you to reset your bloglines and favorites and visit me over at Chicken Betty.
And hey, leave a comment once in a while will ya!

Everything is falling into place

This is the prep for just two days worth of syrup from last week. Those trees are sap fountains this year and we're looking forward to one more week of good sap letting. We're also going to try our hand at maple sugar candy this year. Be warned! We only have 3 pints left right now - these little bottles are going fast. Come and get it!

This was the cake for my nephew's party on Sunday, its a Federation Star Destroyer - not perfect but it made the boy happy. That and his new black cape, can't be agood little Sith without a cape :)

You Don't Send Me Flowers

Yesterdy was my one year blogoversary! Yeah ME :)
(the lovely image above comes from the good folks at Havana Street - check em out)

I had a long day at work but the first meeting of my Crochet 1 class was a big success and all the ladies went home with swatches to work on for the next week. I can't wait to start them on Granny squares next Thursday.
The Grumble's last day at her preschool is today. Next week she starts at the same care center as her sister, now they'll have some time together each day *sigh*.
Gotta go get ready for the day

Love Shack

The Hubby built a sugar shack! He threw together this quick and dirty version for the all too brief sugaring season here in New England. He's out tapping our trees now and we should be boiling by weeks end. Mm, mm, do I love Real Maple syrup!

While he was working away at that the girls were "cooking" in the living room. They each got a little baker set for christmas and they like to place animal crackers in the mini muffin tin and set a timer to wait for them to "bake". Then its snack time. :)

I'm working on a paper for school, a bunch of projects for work, Merbs for Shawn and a felted bouquet for Cupcake - its going to be a busy spring.

The Last Picture Show

My Bean got Twinkle Toes for her birthday - little purple ballet slippers. She was pleased as punch.

I apologize for my recent absence from the blog world. There has been a split in the works and Today I call it a soft opening - it will be official this weekend.

Togbean's Place will now be the home for family and life related bits and pieces and all my crafty work will now live over at Chicken Betty.

By Saturday my blogroll and links here will all change over and may of them will be moved over to CB. Unfortunatly as the new Blogger has made the rounds I have lost  connections with many blogger friends - Please visit me over at CB so we can reconnect!

I'm looking forward to the refreshing boost that I feel when posting on the new site and I promise to return to previous post frequency soon. Thanks for sticking with me!

Today is Your Birthday

You were the best 26th birthday present a girl could ask for.
Three days old and already smiling :)

Happy first birthday with all the Clifford goodness your little heart could take.

2nd birthday and you were growing so fast - Sesame street favoites all over your cake. The happiest girl to have a Big Bird plate and the gift of a new sister in your second year.

Third birthday and Care Bears were your thing, and Dora, and fairies and barbies and crayons and...

Fourth birthday and you had to have My Little Pony. It was a purple and pink day.

Fifth birthday and it was princesses all around - even though you favored The Little Mermaid.

Sixth year and a Dancing Princess you are.
Keep smiling baby, you make Mommy and Daddy SO proud.
